Shark Safari One Day Tour
Swim with Sharks in Baja California, Mexico

The southern coast of Baja is one of the best places in the world for pelagic shark encounters
The nutrient-rich waters of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean attract Mako, Blue, Silky, and Smooth Hammerhead sharks, some of the rarest species to be encountered by humans in the wild. The best months for encounters are February to July.
Swimming with sharks is a life-changing experience, revealing their curious and sensitive nature, and hopefully altering attitudes towards these misunderstood predators. This is a snorkeling activity. We use non-invasive chumming techniques to attract sharks, and hope that once they arrive they will want to stay around.
Like all animals they have different personalities and temperaments, so each day and each shark we encounter is a completely different experience. All in-water interactions are under the supervision of 2 experienced safety divers. This thrilling adventure will leave you hooked.

What to expect
We'll travel anywhere from 5 to 30 miles to one of our shark spots, depending on the season and weather conditions. Upon arrival, your guide will give a detailed briefing about the sharks and safety rules. While waiting, we'll discuss shark behavior, biology, and conservation. Every day is different and sharks can sometimes appear after 5 minutes or sometimes more than 3 hours. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but our team will always do everything possible to find sharks and make your day unforgettable. When the sharks appear, we'll enter the water one at a time for an unforgettable swim. After the interaction, we'll head back to the marina, always on the lookout for more marine life that we may encounter.
Safety:
You will always have 2 safety divers with you. Our safety divers have up to 8 years experience with these sharks and have all been trained to handle pelagic sharks. We have an in-depth briefing and clear safety rules you must follow.
The safety divers will make decisions about the interactions on the day depending on the ocean conditions and the behaviour of the sharks. This is a safe activity and we are very vigilant about any adverse behaviour. All divers must wear full, dark colored wetsuits. We do not hand feed sharks.
