Iguazu Falls is considered one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World. It is shared by Brazil and Argentina, the imaginary line of boundary between the two countries is the Devil's Throat, one of the waterfalls. The Falls are the largest sequence of waterfalls in the world and have been enacted as a World Heritage by UNESCO. The Iguazu Falls are formed by swirling water creating a unique spectacle.

Itinerary

Day 1: In / Foz Do Iguaçu

Arrive at Foz do Iguaçu Airport and transfer to selected hotel. Check-in and free day to relax. Overnight.

Day 2: Foz Do Iguaçu (B)

Breakfast and free day to enjoy by yourself or to take some optional tours listed below. Return to hotel and overnight.

Day 3: Foz Do Iguaçu – / Next Destination (B)

Breakfast and free morning to enjoy by yourself or to take some optional tours listed below. Check-out and transfer to the airport to board on flight to your next destination.

OPTIONAL TOURS (not included)

Brazilian Side of Iguazu Falls (2,5h – 3,5h)
The best panoramic views are at Brazilian side of the falls. Arrive at the visitor center, located 12 km from the heart of the park. Travelers will be transferred on specially conditioned vehicles to the catwalks for a walking tour of approximately 1 km long, where you will admire the falls (80 meters high e 2780 meters wide) from different viewpoints. At the end of the catwalk you will find a fantastic close-up encounter with the Devil's Throat and main falls.
Note: The regular tour (min 2 pax) leaves every day at 09:00 a.m. from downtown hotels and at 09:15 a.m. from highway hotels. Private tour can have morning and afternoon departures.

Argentinian Side of Iguazu Falls (6h – 7h)
Argentinian side is perfect to get close to several waterfalls via catwalk. Lower circuit visit takes 1,5-2h and Upper Circuit 1-1,5h. To visit the Devil's Throat, travelers should board the train at the Cataratas Station followed by a walking tour on a flat catwalk (1100 meters) built over the Upper Iguazu River that leads visitors to the balconies for an amazing panoramic views of this magnificent fall. Lunch (not included) can be made at the park.
Note: The regular tour (min 2 pax) leaves every day at 8:00am from Cataratas Hotel, at 8:30am from highway hotels and at 8:45am from downtown hotels. Private tours we recommend to leave 08:30am.

Argentinian Side of Iguazu Falls (Upper Circuit and Devil’s Throat) with Sendero Macuco Trail (6h-7h)
The Sendero Macuco jungle trail (3,5km) leads the visitor through dense forest to the nearly hidden Arrechea Waterfall, a 20m cascade that has gouged out a lovely natural pool below. During the trail there are six interpretive stations explaining the rich biodiversity of the area. Afterwards the visit continues to the Upper Circuit (1-1,5h hour) and to the Devil’s Throat (1 hour).
Note: This full day tour is recommended for those who enjoy hiking and it is possible to get into the waterfall.

Gran Adventure as Argentinian Falls Extension (1,5h – 2h)
Start with 8km jeep ride through the rainforest to the Iguazu River. Board motorboats specially projected for this type of navigation. The ride goes up the rapids in the lower Iguazu River, for about 6 kilometers of rocks and vegetation, up to 80 meters high, as far as the majestic Devils Throat.
Note: This tour isn’t private and isn’t recommended for those with heart and back problems. Children under 12 aren’t allowed. To get wet during the boat ride is a reality. This activity will be done as an extension of Argentinian side visit.

Full Moon at Argentinian Side (2h00 – 3h00)
This is the option to enjoy the Iguazu Falls under the moonlight. Leave the hotel (around 7 p.m.) on a private transfer. Once getting at the Argentinian side of the National Park the first section will be on an ecological train. Then walk in the 1100 meters catwalk ending at 80 meters drop that will be illuminated by the moonlight. Good chances to see a moonbow (night rainbow).
Note: Only the transfer is private, the tour is regular. The tour is only possible during full moon and may be canceled due to climatic factors.

Macuco Safari as Brazilian Falls Extension (1h30min – 2h)
This tour takes place inside the Iguaçu National Park (Brazil), about seven kilometers from the Visitors Center. The first part begins with a jeep ride through the rainforest, then, a walk for about 600 meters that leads to the most expected part, going up the river in specially prepared boats to get to the bottom of Iguaçu Falls, being able to admire and feel them close. Whirlpools, waves and currents provoked by the falls add adrenaline and lots of emotions to this unforgettable tour.
Note: This tour is not recommended for those with heart and back problems. To get wet during the boat ride is a reality. This activity will be done as an extension of Brazilian Side visit.

Full Moon from Belmond Cataratas (1h30min)
This tour isn’t private, although it’s exclusive only for Belmond Cataratas Hotel guests. To enjoy the Brazilian Side of the Iguazu Falls under the moonlight, leave the hotel Belmond Cataratas with the guide and walk for about 20 minutes to the main platform. Good chances to see a moonbow (night rainbow). The tour can be prescheduled and paid locally.
Note 1: This tour is only possible during full moon and may be canceled due to climatic factors.
Note 2: Full Moon from Belmond Cataratas is under request.

Helicopter Flight over Iguazu Falls (10min or 35min)
Panoramic flights over the Falls with modern equipment and experienced pilots that have detailed knowledge of the area’s attractions. An opportunity to take pictures of the beautiful sceneries the Iguazu National Park offers. Daily departure from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the National Park entrance, according to flights schedule and weather conditions.
