Alor Tanapi is a newly built dive resort opened in 2023 located on the island of Alor in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.

Our resort with just 6 bungalows offers an intimate haven for divers seeking unforgettable experiences. With pristine waters and a rich marine ecosystem, Alor has long been hailed as a hidden gem in the diving world.

The resort is situated approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the main town of Kalabahi. After several years of scuba diving all around Indonesia, we decided to settle in Alor as we feel it offers an exceptional variety of dive sites. With its unique combination of coral reefs, pelagics and muck diving, Alor has something for everyone.

Accommodation

Alor Tanapi accommodation has 6 rooms that offer a view over the ocean, desk and wardrobe, a spacious balcony to relax on and Western-style amenities.

Our Hillside Standard Bungalow

Our hillside standard bungalow has a king-size bed, a private terrace with sofa chairs, and the open-air bathroom features an outdoor shower with hot water, a western-style sink and western-style toilet. The bungalow is air-conditioned and there is a fan in the room. No single surcharge applies on the hillside standard bungalow.

Our Oceanfront Standard Bungalows

Our oceanfront standard bungalows have a king-size bed, a private spacious terrace with sofas and a hammock, and the open-air bathrooms feature an outdoor shower with hot water, a western-style sink and western-style toilet. The bungalows are air-conditioned and there is a fan in each room.

Our Seaview Deluxe Bungalows

Our seaview deluxe bungalows have a king-size bed, a private spacious terrace with sofas and a hammock, and the open-air bathrooms feature an outdoor shower with hot water, a double vanity and western-style toilet. The bungalows are air-conditioned and there is a fan in each room. The deluxe rooms offer a minibar, a daybed and additional wardrobe space.

Our Oceanfront Deluxe Bungalows

The bungalows are air-conditioned and there is a fan in each room. The deluxe rooms offer a minibar, a daybed and additional wardrobe space.

Diving

Located in the heart of the coral triangle, Alor offers some of the best diving in Indonesia. It is renowned for its great visibility, stunning coral reefs, pelagic encounters, and small bizarre critters in the muck sites. From the resort, we can reach more than 40 dive sites within a 30 to 45-minute radius by boat.

It is also possible to do day trips to some dive sites located in the South of Alor or the South of Pantar such as Beang Abang which offers some great muck diving. We recommend a minimum stay of one to two weeks to be able to cover the range of dive sites.
