Castaway Island, Fiji is a pristine private island 4 star resort located in the heart of Fiji’s Mamanuca Island group. The island’s 174 acres are covered in rich tropical rainforest and surrounded by white sand beaches, vibrant coral reefs and azure South Pacific waters. Accommodation

Castaway Island, Fiji offers 27 Island, 12 Ocean View and 27 Beach bures. Most feature one king size bed and two additional single beds in their configuration, with those bures comfortably sleeping four persons. For larger families our Castaway Five* concept features bures configured with an additional full size single bed (or cot as required). Additionally our three bedroom Family Beach bure sleeps up to ten persons offering two king beds, six single beds and two bathrooms.

All bures are spacious, well ventilated with overhead ceiling fans and air-conditioning and feature quality inclusions throughout.

* The Castaway Five concept allows you to request a bure in Island, Ocean or Beach Bure with an extra bed for a fifth person. There is an additional nightly rate + taxes.

Island Bures

Bungalows are nestled amongst the resort’s lush tropical gardens. Each free standing, traditionally thatched bure features a high vaulted hand painted ‘tapa’ lined ceiling, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, large bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries with a distinct Fijian accent. Most bures have one king bed with two single beds having a sliding privacy screen separating the two bedroom areas. All bures are spacious and stylishly appointed with distinctive natural timbers and comfortable soft furnishings and are within a few minutes walk to the beach front, restaurants and sporting facilities.

Ocean View Bures

Bungalows are close to the beach and enjoy water views, whilst being nestled amongst the resort’s lush tropical gardens. Each free standing, traditionally thatched bure features a high vaulted hand painted ‘tapa’ lined ceiling, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, large bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries with a distinct Fijian accent. Beach Bures

Bungalows are located along the two north and south facing beaches of Castaway Island, all with uninterrupted water views. Each free standing, traditionally thatched bure features a high vaulted hand painted ‘tapa’ lined ceiling, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, large bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries with a distinct Fijian accent. Most bures have one king bed with two single beds having a sliding privacy screen separating the two bedroom areas. All bures are spacious and stylishly appointed with distinctive natural timbers and comfortable soft furnishings and are within a few steps to the beach and foreshore.

Family Beach Bure

Our Family Beach Bure (bungalow) consists of two beach bures interconnecting. The Family Beach Bure (bungalow) is located on the north facing beach front and is configured with three interconnected bedrooms and two separate bathrooms to comfortably accommodate up to ten persons. This free standing, traditionally thatched bure features high vaulted hand painted ‘tapa’ lined ceilings, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, two bathrooms with shower, hairdryer and toiletries with a distinct Fijian accent. The accommodations provide, two king beds and six single beds over three rooms, are spacious and stylishly appointed with distinctive natural timbers and comfortable soft furnishings. Located right on the beach front adjacent to restaurants and sporting facilities, this bure is perfect for larger families or groups. Enjoy close water views from your balcony and step straight onto the powdery white sand to the beach and foreshore.

Scuba Diving

Our Gold Palm Dive Centre offers some of the best diving experiences in Fiji.

Owned and operated by Castaway, this PADI Five Star Gold Palm facility offers a wide range of dive and course options through our Resort Dive Centre. There are over 30 dive sites within 20 minutes of Castaway on board our purpose built 8.5 metre, 400hp dive boat ‘Sokia’ accommodating up to 16 fully equipped divers.
