Scuba Dive Summer Specials
Similan
Islands one of the most visited dive sites in South East Asia. Here, scuba
divers from all over the world continue to be fascinated by nature s
creations: colourful coral reefs that have been grown for many centuries,
all types of fish schools of the indopacific seas and a unique diversity
of spineless creatures to provide perfect photo inspirations.
But
the scenery is changing abruptly at the end of may when the peak season is
over and silence returns to the Nine Islands . As soon as the sounds of
the motor ship diesel engines fade away the bigshots seem to recover their
courage. They reclaim their territory and can t be asked to play hide and
seek anymore. Sea turtles pass by the reefs without being bothered and
silvertip-sharks are waiting for their chance to catch in the deep blue.
To
provide divers with the possibility to gain an insight of this relaxed
underwater world the Genesis 1 team has developed a program of summer
tours. Until end of august you can join a tour of three days and four
nights to the reefs of all the Nine Islands for USD $ 585 (double cabin),
respectively USD $ 600 (single cabin). The price includes unlimited
diving, pick-up at hotel, experienced dive guide support, coffee, tea,
weights and belts and excellent catering by chief cook Pi Pet.
Also, divers benefit from a significantly decreased
monsoon rain throughout the last few years as the sea is often as calm in
summer months as it is during peak season from October to May. To the
managing director of Genesis 1, Norbert Witthinrich, this not merely means
an extension of his diving business but a commitment too. We also use the
additional time to extend our activities to achieve eco-friendly scuba
dive conditions in the Similan Islands and the whole Andaman Sea, he says.
