Explore Cambodia (13 days / 14 nights)
Day 01: Phnom Penh arrival
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, meet and transfer to hotel. Lunch
at local restaurant. Phnom Penh city tour: including National Museum,
Silver Pagoda, Royal Palace, and Wat Phnom.
Day 02: Phnom Penh - Ta Keo - Kompot
Depart from Phnom Penh for Kompot. Enroute, stop at Tonle Batie and visit
Ta Prohm temple (12th C.) and Yeay Pov temples. Visit to Prasat Neang
Kmao, the temple of Black Virgin (10th C.). Continue to Phnom Chissor
mountain and climb up the mountain to see the temples of Phnom Chissor
and view. Lunch box included. Continue the drive to Kompot.
Day 03: Kompot - Bokor National Park
Drive to Bokor National Park on the top of the mountains. Visit the long
abandoned hill station of Bokor Mountain: discover the ruins of the former
Royal Residence, the church, the casino hotel and enjoy an amazing view
on the southern coast. Picnic lunch provided at the site. Drive back to
Kompot and continues to the seaside resort of Kep, formerly known as Kep-sur-Mer.
This beautiful coastal area was once the favorite holiday spot for Cambodia's
French-influenced elite. Enjoy the beach until sunset.
Day 04: Kompot - Komchay River - Phnom Penh
Boat trip on the Kamchay River to visit the Cham fishing villages and
continue to the pristine Keo River. Lunch at local restaurant. Free time
to discover the pleasant small town of Kampot. Drive back to Phnom Penh.
Day 05: Phnom Penh - Kompong Cham - Kompong Thom
Departure from Phnom Penh by road to Kompong Cham. Visit to Wat Nokor
with its ancient temple and modern style pagoda ( 11th C.), Wat Phnom
Pros Phnom Srey. Brief tour of Kompong Cham town to view examples of colonial
architecture. Lunch at local restaurant. Depart from Kompong Cham to Kompong
Thom via road. On the way visit to Wat Kohear Nokor ( 11th C.). You will
also visit the nearby village and its pagoda where you can observe the
daily life of the Cambodian monks. Continue to Phum Prasat with its single
ancient temple and the nearby modern pagoda. Arrive at Kompong Thom, check
in at Stung Sen hotel.
Day 06: Kompong Thom- Prasat Sambo Prei Kuk- Phnom Penh
Depart from Kompong Thom to Prasat Sambo Prie Kuk. Enjoy traditional daily
life scences of rural Cambodia. Visit the ancient capital of Chenla with
its 100 temples dating from the Pre-Angkorian period. Peturn to Kompong
Thom for lunch at local restaurant. Drive back to Phnom Penh.
Day 07: Phnom Penh - Battambang by flight
Breakfast at hotel Transfer to Phnom Penh airport for departure to Battambang.
Upon arrival at Battambang airport meet and transfer to hotel. Battambang
city tour, including the colonial buildings, local villages. Lunch at
local restaurant. Visit to local fish market and drive around town. Dinner
at local restaurant and accommodation at hotel.
Day 08: Battambang
Visit to Wat Banon and Phnom Wat Ek. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit
to Wat Phnom Sampov and the life of people along the Sangke River.
Day 09: Battambang - Siem Reap
Transfer to Battambang boat ferry for departure to Siem Reap by speed
boat. Arrive in Siem Reap boat ferry, meets and transfers to hotel. Lunch
at hotel. PM : At leisure.
Day 10: Siem Reap
Visit to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphuon, Elephant Terrace,
Leper King Terrace and Royal Enclosure. Lunch at Angkor Restaurant. Visit
to Angkor Wat and sunset on the top of Phnom Ba Kheng Hill. Dinner and
enjoy Khmer Traditional Dance show at local restaurant.
Day 11: Siem Rep - Phnom Kulen
Leave the hotel for an excursion to Phnom Kulen with picnic lunch. PM
: Return to Siem Reap town and on the way back visit to Banteay Srey temple.
Day 12: Angkor Areas
Visit to Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm temples. Lunch
at hotel. Visit to Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda, Neak Pean and Preah Khan
temples.
Day 13: Angkor Area
Visit to Roluos Group : Lo Lei, Preah Ko and Ba Kong temples. Lunch at
hotel. Visit to Siem Reap local market.
Day 14: Siem Reap - Departure
Transfer to Siem Reap airport for departure to Bangkok by AM flight.
