Trip Commentary:
Our Alaska adventures are a fantastic experience and combine all the elements of a dive charter with the best that Alaska has to offer ie. getting really close to a hundred or more humpback whales, birding, natural hotsprings, climbing onto icebergs (and sometimes diving under them), watching calving glaciers, marine ID clases , specimen collecting, shore hikes and expeditions led by our onboard marine biologist, kayaking (including lessons and guiding), limited fishing from our small skiffs, sailing and just relaxing with a good book or new friends and watching the incredible scenery. Even though there are lots of other activities going on every day, we still average 2 dives per day with some current/drift diving, wrecks, big animal encounters with a colony of stellar sealions, some beautiful invertebrate life including lots of soft corals, sponges and anemones. And of course the wolfeels and octopus that the Pacific Northwest is famous for. Nitrox, trimix and rebreather divers are easily accomodated. Please note there will be 3 dives on same days and on other days, the planned activities may preclude any diving. Some dive sites have a diversity of marine life exceeding anything we have seen anywhere else.
