| The Nautilus Explorer heads north to Alaska when days
are long, nights are short, and the waters are generally calm and teeming
with life. Divers experience undersea ecstasy and kayakers and hikers are
immersed in true wilderness. Underwater, expect to see giant octopus, playful
wolf eels, huge anemones, walls of Dr. Seuss-like metridiums, stunning corals
and sponge, and current-swept invertebrates all passing by in a carnival-like
parade. Topside, the show is just as inspiring. Massive glaciers calving
and giving birth to icebergs. Breaching and lunge-feeding humpback whales
rising from the deep. Bald eagles soaring against blue skies. Black bears
and grizzlies ambling at the forest fringe. And a host of other creatures,
including orcas, sea lions, otters and puffins. The Nautilus Swell - The newest wave to hit Alaska and British Columbia diving |
