STAR DANCER - Dry season on the SOUTH COAST of the Island of New Britain. January, February and March. Allan Raabe the famous crazy skipper of Febrina is now also in charge of Star Dancer as you may know. He has found awesome diving for critters YES CRITTERS, in our winter in PNG!! He has found Mimick Octopus, Rhinopias Frondosa (finally as you know he has been in search of them for years in Kimbe Bay), harlequin ghost pipe fish, star gazers and the lot!!! There is a freshwater river hole to dive that is spectacular and very different! They have some amazing Culture in the south where the tribes still do the ‘head binding’ to create very oblong heads, a must see! Also has spots for photog’s who wish to work on wide angle photography!! So there is something for everyone here!! Join Al in PNG for some very different, EXCELLENT diving.

TAWALI RESORT

MILNE BAY! Finally completed and ready to go, Rob Vanderloos of MV Chertan and Bob Hollis of Oceanic, have combined their best and we now have the most stunning land based resort in PNG!! Moments away from the famous Lawadi beach (Dinah’s beach) dive site. For all who have been diving in this fantastic environment will know how exciting this news is!! The resort sits up on a cliff and over looks the tranquil turquoise lagoon! I have watched this resort being created and now finished, all by local craftsman and local carver. A MUST SEE!

'Walking Shark' Among 50 New Marine Species Found Off Indonesia's Papua Province - Two recent expeditions led by Conservation International (CI) to the heart of Asia's "Coral Triangle" discovered dozens of new species of marine life including epaulette sharks, "flasher" wrasse and reef-building coral, confirming the region as the Earth's richest seascape.

The unmatched marine biodiversity of the Bird's Head Seascape, named for the shape of the distinctive peninsula on the northwestern end of Indonesia's Papua province, includes more than 1,200 species of fish and almost 600 species of reef-building (scleractinian) coral, or 75 percent of the world's known total.

MANADO, a new top end resort for couples and families! MINAHASA RESORT, a beautiful resort nestled in the jungle on the beach. The newest dive site called Bethlehem is minutes from this resort, with all the most incredible wild critters that Lembeh Straits have. Great shore diving and of course the main diving is at Bunaken Sea Gardens.

WAKATOBI RESORT - They have come into their own now with the lovely chartered flight from Bali to the Resort. The beach and garden bungalows are very large and luxurious. They have done away with all the long house accommodations and created a very large social area! They are building a new restaurant on the waters edge. Now in progress is are Cliff Top Bungalows, a step into High End accommodation levels. What will they think of next.

Selayar Dive Resort - Selayar, a secluded island, far away from mass tourism, lies in the Celebes Sea to the south of the Indonesian Island Sulawesi. Myths have been kept alive on this small island which once lay on the Chinese trade route. The west side of the island is mainly inhabited by fishermen, who live in small villages that continue to follow their traditions largely unaffected by western influences. Besides traditional fishing, the growing of vanilla and tangerines generate the main sources of income on the island.
