Grand
Komodo Tours and Dives is the premier adventure tour and
dive specialist in Indonesia. The Tour Division
has been specializing in “off the beaten track” tours
throughout Indonesia, especially the region of the Nusa Tenggara
(Lesser Sundas) and Bali since 1987. The Dive Division
offers scuba diving trips, from its flagships, to the island regions
of Komodo, Alor and Flores for individuals and small groups. Grand
Komodo also offers charter operations to many destinations in the
islands to the East of Bali. Join us for a most memorable underwater
experience at reasonable prices.
Grand Komodo is proud to be associated with Dr. Kal
Muller, author of Underwater Indonesia/Diving Indonesia
and several other books about Indonesia. Dr. Muller, with sufficient
notice, is available for lecturing during dive trips on topics such
as marine biology and the history and cultures of Indonesia.
 Our Flagships
Our three flagships are all modernized traditional
Indonesian Bugis style wooden boats. Accommodations are simple and
clean.
MV Raja Ampat Explorer, MV TemuKira, MV PutriPapua
and MV Tarata have cabins with individually controlled
air conditioning units.
MV NusaTara has fans in each cabin.
We serve a mix of local and European/Western style food. Soft drinks
and beer are available at a nominal cost. Our crews are Indonesians:
competent and friendly. They are onboard to serve your needs. Our
homeport is Sape in the island of Sumbawa.
