We have been waiting for a long time to find the right vessel with which to make a real strong bond with here in Indonesia. After years of checking out many different vessels Diving 4 Images has now found an excellent vessel to promote as of it were our own. I first saw Seahorse in the building phase at Tanah Beru in south Sulawesi over 2 years ago. I couldn't help myself; I had to go for a closer look around her. Even in the stages of building my attention was caught, the high quality finishing and noticing a unique hull design... this was the first and only hull design I've seen over here with a weighted double keel, with her sleek lines this now makes Seahorse a very stable ocean going vessel!

After taking a look around her I went over to talk with the boat builder. Asking him a few questions, it turned out that even he, the boat builder was very impressed with the owner and his choice of build style and quality. I had no idea what so ever back then that we would ever be here promoting this very same vessel. We have been consulting with the very proud owner operators of Seahorse and only now after our check out cruise are we proud to offer divers a great chance to dive and cruise in traditional style with all the modern creature comforts with Seahorse. Taking you to the newest dive destinations within Indonesia!

Seahorse was completed in March 2006. After nearly 3 years to completion, the owners wanting to ensure Seahorse was built to the highest standards of any traditional Pinisi design operating as a charter vessel within Indonesia. The design is a mix of traditional Indonesian and the owners touch giving her a more of a classic look. Seahorse is a luxury cruising and diving vessel fully fitted out to work as a very comfortable and stable cruising and diving charter vessel within Indonesian waters.

Vessel Specifications

Staterooms

Seahorse can comfortably accommodate up to 16 divers. Seahorse has 1 owners suite located on the upper deck, however this is only available on prior request or for special private charters! There are two staterooms at the stern of Seahorse, both are fitted out with a large comfortable double bed and also a single bed. Separate air conditioning units keep the staterooms at your desired temperature. The full en-suite shower and toilet facilities provide hot and cold running water and western style toilet and showers. There is excellent storage space in every stateroom with plenty of space to move around... no bumping in your dive buddy.

The lower deck has 6 staterooms, 2 fitted with large double beds and a single bed, the other 4 staterooms are fitted with two single beds. All lower deck staterooms are fitted with full en-suite shower and toilet facilities provide hot and cold running water and western style toilet and showers.

Lounging Areas

Seahorse has a possible outer dining area with a table which can be used, if and when the group chooses to dine outside. There is large upper deck sun lounging area with cover for shade, which can be easily removed for those who prefer to bathe in the sun.

Note: the main deck has rubber corking to aid with a little more non slip, the deck design is much flatter than the average Pinisi, meaning not so much slant towards the bow or the stern.

Salon

The main deck salon has plenty of relaxing and working space, with a mini bar for free water, tea, coffee and light snacks. The lower deck staterooms are all accessed from the main salon area.

Food

Seahorse has an all stainless, fully fitted galley with huge walk in cold room to keep plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. The head chef prepares excellent meals ideal for divers. With plenty of fresh salads, soups and fresh produce. There are always plenty of snacks and fresh fruits available if and when needed.

Diving and Camera Equipment

Seahorse has an interior dive gear and camera room. All your dive gear and camera equipment can be worked on here in the shade. All your batteries and charging needs can be safely taken care of here as well. Dive tanks and dive equipment is stored on the main deck and always safely handled by the crew to and from the tender boats, meaning no work other than the stroll into the tender boats.

Tender Boats

Seahorse has 2 tender boats to speed you safely and comfortably to the dive sites. The tender shown has a well fitted ladder for easy entries back on board. Seahorse has a large and very sturdy boarding ladder on the port side for easy access on and off Seahorse from dive tenders. The tender shown is fitted with tank racks so your dive gear is always well looked after while on board.

Onboard purchases and payments

All payments on board Seahorse need to be paid in US$, Euro or Rupiah.

Cruising and diving aboard Seahorse provides you with the opportunity to experience world class cruising, diving and snorkeling along with beach visits and land tours to see traditional cultures still unaffected by the modern world. There is a choice of various sample itineraries for those who prefer to take private charters. With private charters we can adjust the itinerary with your input to cater to your every need. The main yearly itinerary will take Seahorse on a route round Indonesia, the main aim will be to focus on a few very new and red hot dive destinations within Indonesia.
