Based on this original design and Indonesian heritage of a Phinisi vessel, we have built our vessel "MV.Citra BIDADARI", and converted her into a small expedition boat.
The Saloon together with the dining room is situated in one level deck, and 2 other decks offer lots of deck space available for you to relax, enjoy the sea view, sun or read your favorite book. Ship's average cruising speed is 7 - 9 knots, powered by 496 HP Caterpillar main engine, enable the time to cruise overnight to reach the next destination. Two mast Phinisi sailboats are trade marks of Indonesian wooden boats, built and crafted by traditional boat builders from South Celebes, with knowledge passed on from father to son. For centuries these sail boats have ruled the country's inter-island trade, played an important role in the local trade, carrying commodities to and from the islands. In this modern era, one can still see these vessels, supporting the inter-island trade in the smaller ports of the country.
A combination of traditional look and modern comforts plus safety at sea, "MV. Citra BIDADARI" can comfortably accommodate 12 passengers in her 6 ensuite fully air-conditioned cabins, with "personal and caring" service, from her 12 local crew. Not to mention the well selected Asian and Western cuisine prepared by the ship's chef, will be another treat.
