Adelaar

Adelaar is a beautiful old Dutch Schooner which has been sailing the Komodo Archipelago for the past 15 years. She has undergone a complete renovation and update, making her a luxurious five star vessel, to accommodate and service the discerning modern traveler.
The Adelaar has three spacious air-conditioned staterooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and all the amenities of a luxury boutique hotel. Built in 'classical yacht' style, the interior has rich wood paneling and high ceilings.

The exclusive master stateroom is our largest, with a queen size bed, sofa and desk, as well as abundant closets and drawer space. The master en-suite bathroom has a spacious shower, double sinks and a separate toilet area.

Our two large guest staterooms each have double bed, sofa and desk as well as closet and ample drawer space. Each guest stateroom has en-suite bathrooms with separate shower, toilet and sink.

Our main salon is a cozy and inviting area below deck. Relax on the sofa with a good book from our extensive library, challenge your partner to a game of chess at the game table, or write those postcards seated at one of two desks. Have our steward prepare a cocktail from our well stocked bar, also located on this level.

Gourmet meals are served a la cart in the main dining salon, located on the upper level. Large windows provide a panoramic view of the vivid landscapes as we cruise through the Archipelago.
The upper deck has a large seating area, situated under an expansive sun awning, which provides the perfect spot for enjoying the scenery while cruising. The forward deck is fitted with comfortable cushions for relaxing and sunbathing.

KOMODO DIVING CRUISE
Komodo...with its wild and arid landscapes above water, and spectacular colorful riches below is best known as "the island of the dragons".
The Komodo Archipelago hosts pristine coral reefs, mantas and schools of many fish species...
Sightings of mantas, mobulas and eagle rays never fail to thrill even the most seasoned diver. Cruising grey sharks, mackerel, tuna, giant trevally and barracuda are a delight for all big fish fans.
Join us on one of our 10 night cruises to visit this unique, remote and primitive World Heritage Site. Take a look into the spectacular underwater world which is alive with vibrant colors and teeming with an abundance of life.
We begin our journey in Bali and sail eastwards toward the Komodo Archipelago, stopping along the way at select destinations for snorkeling and diving. Most of the diving will be in the Komodo National Park, where we will schedule three dives daily and a night dive.
The plankton rich waters of the Indian Ocean make the area around South Rinca one of the richest in biodiversity. In Nusa Koda, soft yellow corals drape entire walls, brilliantly colored hard and soft coral completely cover a submerged sea mound, fish of every imaginable species hover in masses.
Expertly camouflaged frog fish, colorful sea apples, and an amazing variety of nudibranchs fill these reefs.
As we return to Bali, we make a stop at Sangeang Island, a towering volcanic peak looming in the distance. The diving around this island is without comparison. The black, volcanic sand bottom is dramatically contrasted with the brightly colored coral reefs. Sangeang’s reefs host a rare variety of pygmy seahorses, as well as frogfish, ghost pipefish, flatworms and of course, nudibranchs. The unique creatures found here, make this site a macro-photographer’s dream come true.
DIVING BALI'S COASTLINE
Bali…
simply hearing the name conjures up visions of a tropical paradise. It is Indonesia’s most popular tourist destination, and for good reason.
The island of the gods, is a charming destination, not only for its rich natural history but also for its diverse diving destinations. Shipwrecks, drop-offs, sandy slopes, black volcanic seascapes, roaring currents and calm quiet bays... there is something for everyone.
We now offer the chance to discover Bali’s underwater world onboard the luxury live-aboard Adelaar.
We offer trips of five nights or longer, starting from our base in Benoa harbor, and sailing up the eastern coastline of Bali.
Nusa Lembongan and Penida:
The Balinese believe these dry rough islands are haunted. But the main attraction here, is the diving in clear water along current swept reefs. The strong currents nourish the healthy coral and bring rich reef life, which includes Mola mola and big sharks.
Candi Dasa & Amuk Bay:
The islands in this bay are actually little more than current swept rocks, with an untamed beauty. The bay, which is fed by the rich south Bali upwelling, hosts schools of fish as well as sharks and mola mola.
Amed and Tulamben:
Tulamben, home of the famous WWII Liberty shipwreck, is the most known and the best loved diving site in Bali. "Black-sand-bottom" dive sites extend from Amed almost all the way to Bali's north eastern tip. Some recently discovered...many still waiting to be explored!
Menjangan Island:
The reefs of Northwest Bali are some of the most protected on the island. Clear calm waters, a mysterious old wooden shipwreck, and pristine gorgonian covered walls make Menjangan Island, on Bali's northwest coast, a premier dive site.
