This exotic resort, built under shady palms and surrounded by tropical gardens running directly down to a beach of pure white sand, is located on the tip of the small island of Gangga in North Sulawesi - from Manado International Airport only one hour by car, then half an hour on our boats.
  
Gangga Island Resort features:

Gangga Island Resort & SPA is operated by a couple of Professional Hoteliers. Gaspare and Hanne are educated in Hotel Management in Denmark and Switzerland. Gaspare is a Certified Hotel Administrator by the AHMA (American Hotel & Motel Association); together they have managed 5 Stars Hotels and Hotel Schools in Europe and Asia. Gaspare has a long association with Indonesia where in the eighties he assisted the Ministry of Tourism in the opening of the first Vocational Hotel Institute in Bali. They find in Gangga a congenial way of life; they are keen and experienced diving professionals and in love with the environment and the people of North Sulawesi.
Their mission is to develop an Eco Resort where the protection of the marine resources and the development of the local villagers are paramount. They strive to create a resort for serious divers who also like comfort, good service and good food, and last but not least a good SPA treatment after a day of diving. Gangga is the ideal starting point for diving the Bangka Archipelago, the Bunaken National Marine Park and the Lembeh Strait. Being a member of the North Sulawesi Watersports Association (NSWA), Gangga Island Resort is committed to protecting the local reefs and is involved in conservation and development projects aimed at helping the local communities in the creation of sustainable tourism activities.
Gangga and Bangka Archipelago
The small island of Gangga offers a unique opportunity to dive some of the worlds finest Indo Pacific waters. Located in the heart of Indian and Pacific ocean conjuction, with its more than 25 world class diving locations, the island offers a wonderful variety of marine life. Perfectly situated in front of North Sulawesi coast and very close to different other islands like Lihaga, Tindila, Talisei and Bangka.
The Bunaken National Marine Park
...is a protected park of 75'265 hectares. In this area you find most of the coral fishes of all Indonesia. There are more than 30 immersion points surrounded by 5 Islands, Montehage, Manado Tua and others. Because of its visibility (20-30 meters), it is considered one of the best places in the world for diving. In 1997, a giant, prehistoric fish, the Coelacanth, which was thought to be extinct for more than 400 million years, was discovered here. Gangga Island is at a distance of 75 minutes from this diving paradise where you can find and discover Eagle rays, Jack fishes, Tuna, Tropical Reef hunters, Sharks, Turtles, Napoleons, Barracudas and so on.
The Lembeh Strait
It is a paradise for photographers due to its 25 divesites in the area. With an average of 10-20 meters of visibility, it is characterized by black, volcanic depths and by the appearance of corals and slopes. The Strait of Lembeh is known by the best underwater photographers and organizations in the world because of the large selection of exotic, bizarre, and rare species. The Gangga Island resort distance approximately 75 minutes from this diving area. There you can discover: Pigmy seahorses, Giant Frog-fish, Pegasus, Hairy Fog-fish, Giant Seahorses, Cockatoo Wasp-fish, leaf scorpion-fishes, Eels.
