Estates visited vary and are selected after discussing personal preferences. Examples are Uitkyk, Warwick, Moreson, Mont Rochelle for fine red and white wines, and Glen Carlou or Fairview for wine and cheese tasting.

Enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area.

A visit to the Paarl Bird Sanctuary can be included for the nature lovers, as well as a visit to the Afrikaans Language Monument with its indigenous gardens and sweeping views across the Boland.

Drive to Boschendal and visit the historic estate with its beautifully preserved Cape Dutch buildings and its collection of priceless period furniture, giving insight into how the early settlers lived at the Cape.

Explore Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in the country, driving along Dorp Street with its beautiful Cape Dutch houses. Namibia Safaris - Kulala Wilderness CampKulala Wilderness Camp is a ten-roomed camp situated in the heart of Namibia's Namib Desert on a 21,000-hectare private reserve near Sossusvlei. The camp is built at the foot of a rock escarpment, facing west with great sunset views in the mountainous eco-system of this area. The camp comprises of 10 Meru-style thatched canvas chalets on elevated wooden decks with stone en-suite bathrooms. A staircase leading up to the flat rooftop above the bathroom provides the ideal setting to sleep under the stars on a provided bedroll. The main area is elevated under thatch and offers a homely and intimate atmosphere with a swimming pool, dining room and bar area. The interiors are simple yet comfortable, with 220v lighting. Traditional 3 course meals are served at dinner.

On the edge of the oldest desert in the world, wildlife here is sparse but fascinating. Sightings of animals such as Springbok, Gemsbok, Ostrich, Bat-eared Fox and Aardwolf are exciting in these rugged conditions. Activities include early morning guided excursions to the dunes, nature drives and walks on our private reserve, day trips into the Namib-Naukluft mountains and early morning ballooning (at an extra cost).

Namibia Safaris - Damaraland CampDamaraland Camp. Situated on the northern face of the Huab River valley and looking south toward the imposing Brandberg Mountains, Damaraland Camp offers its guests endless vistas. Early morning mists generated by the clash between the icy Atlantic Ocean and the warm desert air of the Skeleton Coast, drift inland along the river sand canyon, providing sustenance to the flora and fauna of the region. This comfortable and friendly camp offers walks and drives in one of the best wilderness areas in Namibia. Although wildlife is not concentrated, Damaraland Camp is situated where the rare Desert Elephant roams, alongside Gemsbok (Oryx), Springbok, Ostrich and other hardy desert animals. Rare succulent plants somehow manage to eke out an existence in this harsh countryside.

Damaraland Camp accommodates guests in 10 comfortable tented rooms, with en-suite facilities including flush toilets and showers with hot and cold running water. As a result of water shortages, it is unfortunately not possible to offer a laundry service. The stone living area combines the dining room and pub and an open fire is enjoyed on calm evenings. A feature of the camp is the unique rock pool. Activities throughout the area are in 4x4 vehicles and on foot as well as mountain bikes.
