  • Day One - Upon your arrival at Quito Airport, you will be met by your escort and transferred to the beautiful San Jorge Eco-Lodge. Our 18th Century Ecuadorian farm with its own 200 acre Botanical Reserve will be your primary base for our expeditions.


  • Day Two - Shamanism Medicinal Plants and Sacred Waterfalls Tour at San Jorge Botanical Reserve we will trek to the highland tropical rainforest, visiting up to 5 sacred waterfalls. Here, we will learn about the medicinal attributes of the native plants, containing up to 250 varieties in the region. At the same time, you will take in the fabulous panoramic views of Quito, it's lush valleys and majestic mountains and the volcano peaks of Cayambe, Antizana, Pasochoa, Pululahua, Pichincha, and Illalo. Return to relax at the Lodge for the remainder of the day. Enjoy the tempered indoor swimming pool, sauna, Turkish Bath and Jacuzzi .


  • Day Three - Horseback Riding Eco-Adventure to the high barren plains. Experience a slice of 17th Century life! Ride Mustang Horses with traditional saddles up to Guagua Pichincha. Visit the Andes potato and cattle farms. Great sightseeing! We will travel a Pre-Inca road (1500 BC) and ride up to the cloud forest (4700m osl).


  • Day Four - Bird Watching early in the morning we will visit the San Jorge Botanical Reserve (highland rainforest). Here you will have a chance to spot the Blacktailed Trainbearer, Rufous Antpitta, Hooded Siskin, Blue & Yellow Tanagers and many other endemic species. While walking through the gardens of San Jorge, you will also find several varieties of hummingbirds, eating at their feeders stationed throughout the grounds.(3000-3500m osl) Afternoon free.


  • Day Five - Mountain Bike Trip (downhill) on the Nono-Mindo Road, a world famous bird watching area. Hiking at Yumbos along a 1500 BC, pre-Inca route in the Cloud Forest Pauma area. Take a bath in a sacred jungle river. Visit the Middle of the World Statue, marking the Equator Line.


  • Day Six - Amazon Expedition In the morning we will drive to Tena, cross the Cumbaya, Tumbaco & Pifo Valleys & climb the Central Andes Chain (Coca Cayambe Reserve). Your guide will give a botanic explanation of the area. Then descending to Lake Papallacta, we will visit Papallacta Hot Springs and enjoy the medicinal waters. Continuing our adventure to the Jumandy Caverns, located in the tropical forest area. Visit the depths of the earth & walk the subterranean river. Overnight in Tena.


  • Day Seven - If it is a sunny morning, you will have the opportunity of viewing the sights of Tungurahua, Sumaco and Sangay active volcanoes. Begin the day by trekking to the natural canyons of the area, observing the medicinal jungle plants and colorful birds that live here. Return to San Jorge for dinner.


  • Day Eight - After breakfast we will drive to Anzu,the upper area of the Napo River, for tubing. After an informative session and receiving our tubing gear, we will be ready to enjoy 15 km of exciting, natural river and swimming pools with fantastic wild sightseeing. This adventure includes a small trek in the Amazon Jungle. At the end of the day we will return to San Jorge Eco-Lodge for dinner.


  • Day Nine - Hiking or biking in the Cotopaxi National Park, the highest active volcanoe in the World.


  • Day Ten - AM Transfer to Quito Airport

Includes: Lodging - based on double occupancy, 3 meals per day, transportation, transfers, bilingual guides, local guides, tents, horses, mountain bikes, helmet and tubing.

Excludes: Travel or medical insurance, personal expenses, extra meals, National park entrance fees
