Matangi Island Resort

Matangi Island Resort is located on a spectacularly beautiful horseshoe-shaped private island. Scattered along the white sand beach, Matangi has 13 bures hidden among the trees and gardens. The individual bures (Fijian style bungalows) are arranged around a central area where the dining, boutique, office and activities center are nestle in the tropical foliage. From each bure it is a short walk to the beach, dining or activities center, but far enough to provide privacy. They offer special honeymoon treehouse bures that are the perfect spot for a romantic honeymoon, anniversary or just a romantic getaway. The dive operation offers two morning dives with an optional 3rd when the new dive boat begins operation. Afternnoon and night dives are also possible.

Most dive sites are within 40 minutes from the resort. A new high speed boat is in the works and will offer 3 dives before returning to the island. Matangi provides dive guides and has rental equipment available. The dives include such colorful sites as Noel's Wall, a drift dive along a wall covered with soft corals and beautiful red sea whips where bronze whaler sharks are often seen.
