Garden Island Resort

Garden Island Resort, located on Taveuni, has the world famous Rainbow Reef in its own backyard. With most dive sites only 10-15 minutes away, the resort has an ideal location. The Garden Island Resort provides a comfortable, affordable place to stay with access to some of the world's best diving. It is a small, intimate, seaside hotel with 28 rooms, each having a commanding view of the SomoSomo Strait with Vanua Levu, in the background. Sunsets from the waters' edge are magnificent. Just inland, an impressive range of verdant peaks, and lush rainforest pay tribute to Taveuni's Garden Island imagery. Daily activities range from a wide variety including diving, snorkeling, bird watching, cultural village trips and waterfall treks.

Most of the dives are drift dives to locations just minutes away, featuring dramatic walls, stunning soft coral gardens, and teeming fish action with the added bonus of warm and clear tropical waters. Average visibility: 40' - 80' (November to April) and 60' - 120' (May to October). They recommend wearing a lycra suit or shortie wetsuit during November - April and either a 3mm steamer or 5mm long john from May - October.
